Second-Dose Vaccination Event (Pfizer)

Alpine ISD will host a Pfizer vaccine clinic on Thursday, September 9th at 4:00 p.m. The clinic will be held at the Alpine Elementary School Cafeteria. This is for the second dose for individuals who received their first dose on August 12th. Anyone wanting a first dose is welcome, but will have to make arrangements with DSHS for their second dose.

Alpine ISD will be hosting a vaccination event on June 7, 2021 for students 12 years and older. DSHS staff will provide the second dose of the Pfizer vaccination for up to 150 people. This is not required by students but available for those that would like to be vaccinated.

The TEA updated guidance, dated March 4, 2021, can be accessed via the TEA website at https://tea.texas.gov/sites/default/files/covid/SY-20-21-Public-Health-Guidance.pdf. Public school districts are required to adhere to this guidance.

This week marked the 100th day of school for students this year. Elementary teachers had all kinds of activities revolving around the 100 days theme for students to stay busy with. Students in Mrs. Luevano’s kindergarten class made 100 day cereal necklaces - and then ate them. In Ms. Garcia’s kindergarten class students designed and wore shirts celebrating their 100th day of school.
