Our Board
The Alpine ISD Board of Trustees is composed of seven members serving three-year staggered terms.
All seven of the Trustees & the Superintendent can be emailed as a group by sending an email to trustees@alpineisd.net. Emails sent to Trustees regarding district business are subject to disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act, therefore the confidentiality of your communications cannot be assured.
Board of Trustees are elected to three-year terms, with elections conducted annually on a rotating basis. The election cycle is as follows: Single Member Districts 1, 3, and 4 – May 2021, and in 3 year intervals thereafter; Single Member Districts 5 and 7 – May 2022, and in 3 year intervals thereafter; Single Member Districts 2 and 6 – May 2023, and in 3 year intervals thereafter. If a vacancy occurs, prior to the end of the term, a trustee is appointed by the Board to fulfill the unexpired term.

Board Training Requirements
The board of trustees of an independent school district is a corporate body that has the exclusive power and duty to oversee the district management and evaluate the performance of its superintendent. All powers and duties not specifically delegated by state law to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) or State Board of Education (SBOE) are reserved for the trustees.
