Certified Nurse Assistant Program with BBRHD

Alpine ISD is pleased to announce we received a grant from the Big Bend Regional Hospital District to implement a Certified Nurse Assistant program at Alpine High School. Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, Alpine High School will offer an additional endorsement and Career and Technical Education (CTE) program of study in Nursing Science for our students.

Successful completion of the Nursing Science Program of Study will fulfill requirements of a Public Service Endorsement or STEM Endorsement if the Math and Science requirements are met. Students will acquire an Industry Based Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant and will be prepared to take the Texas Nurse Aide examination to enter into the workforce as a Certified Nurse Assistant. This program will also provide our students with the foundation needed to enter into a higher education nursing program or Bachelor of Science program.
